Indian Stock Market Today, 13 July 2026: Sensex closes at 77,616.40, Nifty 50 at 24,211.00 as IT stocks lift the market
Indian equities ended almost flat on 13 July 2026, with the Sensex closing at 77,616.40, up 47.01 points or 0.06%, while the Nifty 50 finished at 24,211.00, a gain of 4.10 points or 0.02%. Nifty Bank outperformed slightly, ending at 58,131.45, up 85.55 points or 0.15%, showing that financials helped keep the market steady into the close.image.jpg
Market Overview
The session was largely range-bound, with the headline benchmarks closing with only marginal gains after a mixed day of trade. The positive finish suggests that buyers were still active at lower levels, but not strong enough to drive a decisive breakout.image.jpg
Banking stocks held up better than the broader market, as reflected by Nifty Bank’s stronger percentage gain. That usually points to support from large private lenders and a more stable tone in financials compared with the rest of the market.image.jpg
Index Performance
Sensex added 47.01 points to close at 77,616.40, while Nifty 50 rose 4.10 points to end at 24,211.00. Nifty Bank gained 85.55 points to settle at 58,131.45, making it the day’s best performer among the three major benchmarks in percentage terms.image.jpg
The move was modest, but it was enough to keep the market in positive territory. That makes the session more of a consolidation close than a trend-setting rally.image.jpg
